Fernanda Garcia is an associate professor in the Department of Marketing and Management at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Professor Garcia received her Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. Her current research interests include diversity issues at work, business ethics, and international human resource management. Her work has appeared in journals such as Journal of International Business Policy, Human Resource Management Review, Journal of Management Education, Corporate Reputation Review, Personnel Psychology, Human Resource Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Applied Psychology: An International Review, International Journal of Selection and Assessment, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development International, Cross Cultural and Strategic Management, and Human Resource Development Quarterly. She is a member of the Academy of Management, the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, and the Academy of International Business. She is the recipient of the Robert E. and Jacqueline Skov Endowed Chair in Business Ethics and directs UTEP’s Center for Multicultural Management and Ethics. Professor Garcia acts as Associate Editor of Management Research and sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of International Business Studies, Human Resource Management, the International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Journal of Management Education. Professor Garcia is the winner of the 2021 “Responsible Research in Management Award” co-sponsored by the Academy of Management Fellows and the Responsible Research in Business and Management and the winner of the 2022 Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of Management Education. Her research was featured as the "Best 10 List Gender Equality 2022" by the Principles for Responsible Management Education, an initiative of the UN Global Compact. She has consulting experience with subsidiaries of multinational enterprises and small companies operating in Latin America and with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
