Dr. Sajedul Talukder is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) and the director of the Security and Privacy Enhanced Machine Learning Lab (SUPREME Lab). His research focuses on cybersecurity and privacy, machine learning, online networks, and critical infrastructure security. He is a member of the NSF IUCRC Center for Intelligent, Distributed, Embedded Applications and Systems (IDEAS) and the Center for Research and Education in AI and Cybersecurity (CARE-AI-C).Dr. Talukder has secured significant funding, including a $500,000 NRC grant for real-time cyber threat monitoring, a $157,888 solo-PI NSF grant for social networks connection attacks, and a $99,102 NIST grant for industrial IoT and cybersecurity integration. He has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and received multiple awards, including the NSF CISE CRII award and the IMEC award from NIST. His research has been featured in national and international media, and he is an active member of IEEE and ACM.Before joining UTEP, Dr. Talukder held faculty positions at Southern Illinois University Carbondale and Pennsylvania Western University (PennWest), where he received several teaching and research awards including PennWest's Scholar of the Year in 2020 and SIU's University-Level Early Career Faculty Excellence Award in 2022 and 2024. He has mentored over 40 students and serves on editorial boards and program committees for numerous leading journals and conferences.
