Dr. Richard Sorenson is an associate professor and chairperson in the Educational Leadership and Foundations Department at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Dr. Sorenson served public schools for 25 years as a social studies teacher, assistant principal, principal, and associate superintendent for personnel. Currently, Dr. Sorenson serves as director of the Principal Preparation Program at UTEP, and he works with graduate students teaching coursework related to school personnel, budgeting, educational law, and leadership development.
