I am a Professor in the Teacher Education Department in the STEM Education Division at UTEP. As a Professor, my academic areas of expertise are in science education, curriculum development and technology integration in the K-12 levels. Additionally, I develop, research and teach materials related to problem-based learning, project-based learning, active learning and action science. Additionally, I have produced scholarly materials and creative works that attempt to reach and to involve the marginalized student, in order to positively impact students' self-perception and their social and educational mobility.
