Dr. Peng Li joins UTEP from Rutgers Business School with a robust research background in supply chain management, stochastic optimization, queueing theory, and machine learning. He earned his first Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and is completing his second doctoral degree in Supply Chain Management from Rutgers University. During his time at Rutgers, Dr. Li served as a teaching assistant and contributed significantly to the academic community through various roles. Additionally, he has served as an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University since 2023. Dr. Li has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals in the Supply Chain and Transportation fields, such as Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review, Transportmetrica B, Sustainability, IET Intelligent Transport Systems, Computer-Aided Civil and Infrastructure Engineering, and Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications. His work has been presented at prestigious conferences like INFORMS Annual Meetings.
