Noell Birondo is Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Texas at El Paso. His main interests lie at the intersection of contemporary moral philosophy and ancient Greek philosophy. He recently completed a book on the moral psychology of hate and is writing a book on the influence of Western imperialism on our conceptions of the moral virtues. Winner of the American Philosophical Association’s 2019 Essay Prize in Latin American Thought and a past member of the APA Committee on Inclusiveness in the Profession, he completed his Ph.D. at the University of Notre Dame and B.A. at the University of California, Berkeley.
