Bio

Dr. Villanueva's research focuses on health equity, language access, health<br>literacy, culturally responsive care, and chronic disease prevention among<br>Hispanic and other underserved populations, particularly along the U.S.-<br>Mexico border. Dr. Villanueva is dedicated to advancing nursing knowledge, research, practice, and education. Her research focuses on population health, specifically in underserved Hispanic communities. Dr. Villanueva advocates for upstream healthcare by investing in and fostering collaboration, creativity, and empowerment, improving access to excellent, high-quality healthcare.
