Dr. Lim's research spans a diverse range of interests, including mathematical habits of mind, impulsive-analytic disposition, proportional and algebraic reasoning, mindfulness, and kindness. His work focuses on addressing students' habits of mind in learning mathematics by exploring methods to spark intellectual curiosity, empower mathematical thinking, create nurturing learning environments, and enhance students' attitudes toward both mathematics and life. Recognizing the importance of inner transformation in achieving these goals, Dr. Lim has undertaken a self-study on becoming a more caring and compassionate educator. In response to the rapid advancements in AI and their impact on education, he is also exploring the effective integration of Generative AI into his math courses for preservice teachers.
