Dr. Frank Cabano is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He received his PhD in Marketing from the University of Kansas and BS in Business Economics (summa cum laude with Honors) from the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida. His research interests are in consumer behavior, with an emphasis on how religion and other social identities affect consumption. He also is interested in financial decision making, prosocial motivation, judgment and decision making, and sustainable consumption. His research has been published in Journal of Service Research, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, Psychology & Marketing, Marketing Letters, and Journal of Consumer Affairs, among others, and has also been presented at numerous national and international marketing conferences, including Association for Consumer Research, Society for Consumer Psychology, Marketing and Public Policy, and American Marketing Association. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Cabano worked in the sports marketing industry, including for USF Athletics, the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL), and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL). He previously taught Global Marketing at the University of Kansas, and now teaches Consumer Behavior and Retailing courses at UTEP.
