Dr. Renteria earned her Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Juarez, Mexico. In addition, Dr. Renteria holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso. She is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Her research interest lies in Multi-Material Additive Manufacturing (MMAM) with a focus on process and design optimization for the fabrication of complex and functional devices using ceramics, polymers, and metals for sensing, and energy applications. In addition, Dr. Renteria employs experimental and computational data for material property prediction, physics-of-failure analysis, and design optimization using machine learning approaches. Her research has result in 15 peer-review journals since 2018.
