He is a Professor in the area of educational research with emphasis on univariate and multivariate statistics, measurement issues, and evaluation of educational programs across diverse disciplines and populations. Some of my more general areas of interest included reading, mathematics and science education, self-efficacy, motivation, college students? persistence, and teacher preparation research. My experiences in the use of large databases include training and use of NELS 88 national database in my statistics, measurement and survey research graduate courses. This past year I was asked to develop two new courses. One of these course was a doctoral level course and it dealt with issues of problem solving and decision making. Most of material was made available to the students via Blackboard learning management system. In addition, I was able to help start a new course that have been approved by the Graduate Curriculum committee for the Department of Counseling and Special Services. The course focused on providing the latest learning and motivation theories to teachers who are completing their master's program in teacher education. Again, most of the content and learning materials may be found in Blackboard.
