I have a BA in English with an Education minor, an MA in Professional Writing and Rhetoric, and an MA in American History. In 1997 I received a Ph.D. in Professional Communication from NMSU. Writing Assessment was the subject of my research. Earlier I worked as a legal secretary in El Paso and Miami and a health food co-op manager in El Paso. My hobby is wildlife rehabilitation and spring is very busy with lots of baby birds an ducklings! I was born in El Paso and am a mother of 2, grandmother of 3. I have completed quite a lot of research on Early El Paso art and artists--several were in my own family.
